About SWAA

SWAA, formerly known as the Bertha Capen Reynolds Society, is a national association of progressive social workers, social work students & faculty, and individuals affected by and committed to changing the current social systems. This society was founded in 1985 to honor the progressive and courageous work of Bertha Capen Reynolds, a premier author, educator and social activist of the mid-20th century.
